The UK's Biotechnology and Biological Research Council (BBSRC) has produced a very nice and clear update to their guide on modern stem cell sciences and technology for schools. It discusses stem cells from the viewpoints of the science involved alongside perspectives from law and ethical discussions surrounding the topic.
The contributors to the guide are mostly from Edinburgh and I've either worked with or met many of them in person and it is quite pleasing to see them all working so well together on this guide. Pleasingly many of them also bring a range of their Christian convictions and understandings to the guide without being unhelpfully self-righteous or arrogant about it which often happens in much discussion on this topic within Christian circles.
I can highly recommend it as an solid introduction to the topic if you want to understand the different perspectives feeding into the area and to get a concise and current picture of the science being done and why.
